Happy Drawing Day!

Photobucket

It’s just a made up day by some artsy websites like deviantart etc and raises no money or awarenes for anything but HB pencils I guess but I really wanted to have something done for it anyway. I have been working on this one all week, it’s a pencil drawing, coloured and ‘collaged’ in photoshop. Takes so much longer than traditional colouring, but it’s great to learn, and good to keep up with the younguns wot know about digital. This is the second one I’ve coloured digitally and I still have a lot to learn but I’m pretty happy with this.
Because I was listening to The Lovely Bones on CD book as I worked on this, I ended up adding Susie Salmon and Holiday to it here they are, closer. It feels weird to not have a background in this like when I paint though. I’ll just have to live with that.

Now I’m off to clean up, I haven’t even glanced at Saturday as a whole and it’s nearly over. Better feed the animals unless it’s too late…

ETA: Yay, I got a home page feature on Redbubble!

Love this Sez. As usual, I can’t say much arty stuff about lines and light, but the leaves and the figure of the child and dog are wonderful. Also the close up of the duo = special. Lovely to see them on redbubble and your blog, and looking forward to visiting a slideshow here one day
